Now, downgrade iOS 10.2 in a new way with Prometheus iOS tool…
A video has been uploaded on Youtube demonstrating the new tool that can be easily used to downgrade iOS 10.2 or any firmware installed on your device to the lower firmware.
The developers have demonstrated downgrade iOS 9.3.5 to iOS 9.3.3 with couple of steps and surprisingly they’ve successfully downgraded their iOS device.
The developers are calling this downgrade tool as Prometheus, which can be really useful and second most easily tool after iTunes to lower down iPhone or iPad software to any firmware you want.
Until now, it’s sure that Prometheus is capable to downgrade 64-bit iOS device. It’s really useful because a lot of jailbreak users can downgrade firmware to lower version to jailbreak their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
We’ve really very little knowledge about Prometheus iOS tool how it’s working and how it can downgrade iOS 10.2 to iOS 9.3.3 right now, but we can say that it works on SHSH blobs and APTicket which is used to downgrade Apple devices.
Prometheus downgrade tool doesn’t work for 32-bit device right now, but developers are looking forward to fix couple of things to make it work for both kind of devices to support more devices whether they’re new or older version.
According to the developer, SHSH Blobs, APTicket and other conditions should be match up to successfully downgrade iOS 10.2 to IOS 9.3.3 or at any firmware using Prometheus. But, they didn’t mentioned these “Other conditions” in the video description.
The creator of Prometheus, tihmstar, itself unknown these other conditions, but he can manage downgrade iOS 9.3.5 to iOS 9.3.3 successfully. So, we can consider that this iOS tool is in beta stage right now and we can see further great move to the development of this tool.
It means, we would need the combination of few more tools with Prometheus iOS downgrade tool in this process. Such as iFaith iOS 10.2 and TinyUmbrella iOS 10.2 to generate SHSH blobs and APTicket to use with Prometheus.
For your knowledge, we’ve attached YouTube video which is a proof that Prometheus works just fine on iPhone 5s which is 64-bit device while downgrading IOS 9.3.5 to iOS 9.3.2.
If you’re jailbreak lover and wanna use Prometheus tool, but wanna know some more things about this iOS tool, you can leave comments and suggestions.
